Excursion to Lahul Spiti with Chandratal via Chandigarh Overview

Unspoiled beauty and breathtaking views of the Himalayan deserts and meadows await visitors to the paradisiacal area of Lahaul Spiti. Lahaul Spiti, located on the Tibetan Plateau, is one of the greatest destinations to visit in Himachal Pradesh for an exciting and dreamlike holiday due to its secluded surroundings, glittering rivers, alpine lakes, and unrivaled natural beauty. It is the 4th least inhabited district in India, and it was formed in 1960 when the Lahaul Valley and the Spiti Valley were combined. Kunzum La, a mountain pass at an elevation of 4551 m, connects the two valleys. Both locations are breathtaking, yet they have significantly different aesthetic qualities. Whereas the Lahaul Valley has some vegetation, the Spiti Valley is a stark wasteland. However, both locations are far from civilization and characterized by natural beauty and tranquility.

The cultural richness and kindness of the people of Lahaul and Spiti may make you feel as warm and fuzzy as the region's breathtaking landscapes. To see the few individuals who live in the worst climates but manage to greet you with warmth and a smile is quite remarkable. The rich culture maintained by this tiny community living in outlying villages and towns is something you should not miss.
